CHAPTER 01 · 14 OCTOBER · OVERNIGHT
From an Idea to a Working Little Brain
After a blocked PyTorch download, Kai built a small learning system with Python’s standard library. The first local models, a browser interface and saved checkpoints turned the idea into a working experiment. A word-level run later revealed a punctuation-related vocabulary bug.

From Gibberish to Sentences
Small sentence-training experiments produced the first successful completions. V2 repeated familiar patterns; V3 Expanded improved the matched comparison. V4’s “home” pattern was not promoted, and V3 Expanded remained live at the end of the day.
